There are some things we do not see.
Not because it isn't right in front of us, but because it's something we just don’t understand.
Creative Behavior Systems teaches Trauma Informed is an awareness of physiological and neurological changes to our brains and bodies when adverse impacts have affected our wiring, creating communicative dysfunction in attachment through relationships and thus, systems. Imagine if every system was trained in communicative functions and how to collaborate effectively.
CARE; Collaborative, Achieving and Resilient Environments is a business-agnostic, people-centered training tool that’s particularly applicable to school-based settings and organizations who focus on supporting people. Our training model utilizes different organizational development methodologies—restorative, trauma-informed, positive behavior and more—to remove conflict, barriers in communication and build resilience in individuals and systems.
According to SAMHSA’s concept of a trauma-informed approach, “A program, organization, or system that is trauma-informed:
1. Realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery;
2. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff, and others involved with the system;
3. Responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices; and
4. Seeks to actively resist re-traumatization."
